Ariana Grande to play Manchester tribute gig this weekend

ARIANA GRANDE will return to Manchester to play a tribute gig this Sunday — alongside big names such as Katy Perry and Coldplay.
Just last week the city suffered a terrorist attack that killed 22 people and injured many more, but the Side To Side singer is already planning a defiant return to the city this weekend.
Earlier today, Greater Manchester Police Chief Constable Ian Hopkins told BBC Radio Manchester that Ariana’s team were ‘very keen’ to return ‘sooner rather than later’ and a date had been proposed for this weekend but that it clashed with a Manchester United charity event.
That difficulty appears to have been overcome, however, as it has now been confirmed that Ariana will headline the show on June 4 with support from Justin Bieber, Coldplay, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Pharrell Williams, Usher, Take That and Niall Horan.
The event will take place at the Emirates Old Trafford Cricket Ground and tickets will be available from Ticketmaster, with all proceeds going to the We Love Manchester Emergency Fund, set up by the Manchester City Council and British Red Cross in aid of grieving families and victims of the attack.
In a message to her fans on Friday, Ariana promised to return to the ‘brave city’.
‘I’ll be returning to the incredibly brave city of Manchester to spend time with my fans and to raise money for the victims and their families,’ she wrote.
