Barbara Windsor looks ‘frail’ in reunion snap

ROSS KEMP has shared a sweet picture of himself and soap ‘mum’ Dame Barbara Windsor — in the first snap seen since it was announced the EastEnders legend is suffering from Alzheimer’s.
The EastEnders hardman looks like a real softy in the picture with Babs, who played the Walford matriarch Peggy Mitchell in the BBC soap for many years.
Sharing the image on his Twitter account today, Ross wrote: ‘Visiting my lovely Bar…whoops, I mean Dame Barbara Windsor x’.
And fans loved it, with one commenting: ‘How this tweet has lifted my day, and warmed my heart.’
Others noted that the national treasure was looking ‘a little frail’ but ‘always beautiful’.
Last month, Dame Barbara’s husband Scott Mitchell revealed that she had been struggling with the disease since being diagnosed back in 2014.

He descibed his wife of 18 years as having been in a state of ‘continual confusion’ since her birthday last August, adding that she feels ‘a kind of shame’.
But tributes flowed for the screen favourite, with Kemp saying he was ‘very proud’ of Scott and Barbara for speaking openly about the diagnosis and Good Morning Britain presenter Piers Morgan describing her as ‘one of the gutsiest ladies I know’.
