Biebs quits tour for cycle-logical reason

JUSTIN BIEBER has apologised for ‘betraying’ his fans after explaining he cancelled his world tour because he wants to ride his bike and ‘just rest’.
The Canadian attempted to explain Monday’s shock announcement which saw him abandon the last 14 dates of his Purpose world tour — mainly in America and Asia — due to ‘unforeseen circumstances’.
Tracked down in LA just hours later on the beach in Santa Monica, he told gutted Beliebers to have a ‘blessed day’. Asked what he will be up to instead, he said: ‘Just resting, getting some relaxation, we’re gonna ride some bikes.’
The 23-year-old insisted ‘everything’s fine’ and told fans: ‘I love you guys, I think you’re awesome, sorry for anybody who feels disappointed or betrayed. Have a blessed day.’
His blessing followed an Australian reporter’s speculation that Biebs dropped out of the tour to ‘start his own church’, after the star attended the Hillsong Church Conference in Sydney recently.
Reporter Richard Wilkins said: ‘I am led to believe that the real reason he has come off the road is because he wants to reconnect with his faith.
‘Whether he’s looking at doing some sort of religious activity on his own we’re not quite sure, but that’s the word from an inside source.’
Fellow celebs defended Bieber’s decision. Singer John Mayer, 39, tweeted: ‘When someone pulls remaining dates of a tour, it means they would have done real damage to themselves if they kept going.’ Mayer added: ‘We’ve lost so many great artists lately.’
