Britain’s Got Talent’s ‘crotch-grabbing’ not cool, say Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid

SUSANNA Reid has admitted she found the ‘crotch-grabbing’ display on Britain’s Got Talent at the weekend ‘uncomfortable’ considering it’s a family show.
The ITV final featured topless male dancers from Channing Tatum’s London production of Magic Mike Live gyrating and hip-thrusting on stage.
The Hollywood star was not involved in the raunchy routine himself, but did surprise the audience by walking on stage afterwards.
Understandably, the saucy show got some fans rather flustered — and Susanna and her Good Morning Britain co-host Piers Morgan certainly agreed,
Speaking on her ITV show today, Susanna said: ‘I have to say I found the Magic Mike display a tiny bit uncomfortable.
‘I don’t think there’s any need for a lot of crotch-grabbing to be honest, grinding.
‘I did think it was a bit weird.’

Meanwhile, Piers was positively outraged at what he called ‘sickening double standards’.
‘Why are they celebrated on Britain’s Got Talent?’ he fumed. ‘Channing Tatum leading the charge for this as women all went nuts in the room?
‘Why is that allowed when if they were women there’d have been a great outrage from feminism?’
Piers also dismissed as ‘a load of poppycock’ the idea that ‘no women go and watch things like Magic Mike and have any sexual feelings towards these guys at all as they gyrate, semi-naked, with their big muscles’.
His comments came after a topless snap of Poldark’s Aidan Turner sparked controversy and claims of male objectification.
Still, at least somebody looked pleased to see Channing on BGT — as this cracking reaction shot from judge David Walliams shows.
