Calum Scott’s back to dancing on his own after split with first-ever boyfriend

CALUM SCOTT has confessed that his battle to conquer the music charts cost him his first-ever boyfriend.
The Dancing On My Own singer dropped his highly anticipated debut album Only Human on Friday. But he told Guilty Pleasures he couldn’t keep his romance afloat at the same time and is now ‘back on the market’.
Calum, 29, admitted he couldn’t commit to the intensity of the romance, adding: ‘The guy was lovely. We had a great laugh.’
But, he added: ‘The feelings had started to accelerate. He wanted a little bit more from me than I could give him.’ Calum said he told his boyfriend he didn’t want to hold him back from finding somebody who could give him what he wanted.
‘I had to step away, which was quite sad because it’s not that I didn’t want to see him any more, it’s just that I had a really busy schedule coming up, and he was eager to get serious, to make something of this, not waste his time. I knew I couldn’t give him that. I’m not used to this dating game, I felt really bad.’
Now, he insists: ‘I’m back on the market… I’m definitely looking for love.’
