Coleen Nolan shares ‘worst week of my life’

COLEEN NOLAN has broken down on This Morning, after suffering what she describes as the ‘worst week of my life’.
The Loose Women presenter, 53, sparked viewers’ anger last week when she got into a spat with Celebrity Big Brother rival Kim Woodburn.
Coleen was under the impression Kim had come on the ITV chat show to make amends over their fallout in the CBB house, but the interview ended with Woodburn storming off labelling her ‘trash’.

Many viewers seemed to agree with Kim as Coleen was criticised for ‘bullying’ Kim.
But now Coleen, whose personal life is also in upheaval as she is going through a second divorce, has told Holly Willoughby and her co-host Phillip Schofield that she’s ‘had a week of it’, both personally and professionally.
She said: ‘Honestly, if I could go back in time and change the outcome because it was never meant to be like that. I honestly, genuinely thought she was coming on to make amends.
‘And it didn’t go that way from the moment she came out. And I have to say, it was so shocking. Genuinely shocking for all of us. None of us wanted that, I don’t like to see anybody in that much distress.
‘It was just one of those things. It’s been the worst week of my life.’

Sobbing, Nolan added: ‘It’s that I don’t know what I did wrong. I didn’t say anything. I said about two things in that interview because I know what she’s like. I just thought… she needs help really and I feel sorry for her.
‘To be called a bully and then to have messages going, “Why can’t you die like your sister?” I’ve had a week of it.
‘In 50-odd years of doing a job I absolutely love…and there’s a campaign to get me fired. They talk about me being a horrible bully and then they send me these revolting messages. I cancelled everything last week.’
Coleen is also going through the ringer because she is ‘horrified’ at the thought of dating again as she prepares to divorce her husband of 10 years, Ray Fensome.
Coleen revealed their 17-year-old daughter, Ciara, told her to make a decision on the future of the relationship because she ‘couldn’t stand the atmosphere’ at the family home.
Nolan admitted she was nervous of dating again.
She said: ‘As far as the dating game goes, that absolutely horrifies me right now because it’s all too new and I can’t imagine it. I’m blushing even talking about it. But would I say absolutely not? No. If it happens, how lovely.
‘I mean that will be another new chapter and it would be lovely. I can’t imagine it, I never seem to meet anyone anyway.’
She said online dating for celebrities is ‘difficult’, adding: ‘Because you’d go, “Well, they only want to date me because I’m on the telly.” Which again is me being insecure about myself because they might not, they might think I’m really nice. But I would always think that.’
Nolan has two sons — Shane Jr and Jake — with her first husband, the actor Shane Richie, whom she divorced in 1999.

She said her divorce from Mr Fensome will be ‘easier mentally because I know I’ll be all right’.
She said: ‘But am I against marriage? Absolutely not, I loved being married, both times, loved it, absolutely loved it. Will I get married again? Probably not.’
Nolan found fame performing with her siblings as The Nolan Sisters. Her older sister, Bernie, died aged 52 in 2013 following a battle with breast cancer.
After announcing her first solo tour yesterday, Nolan said her sister’s death made her ‘question everything’ and the tour is a way of getting over her heartbreak.
She added: ‘I’ve got a real empowerment and I’m loving my independence. It’s the first time I have been on my own, Christ, in a hundred years in every aspect, you know, personally and now professionally, and I’m fearful of it. But that fear is giving me excitement to try.’
Tickets for Coleen Nolan’s 2019 Never Too Late tour are on sale now. The 36-date tour runs from January 11 to February 28, all tickets cost £32.50.
