Cynthia Nixon takes on Cara Delevingne for LGBT award

CARA DELEVINGNE is on course for a showdown with Cynthia Nixon in the battle to be named LGBT+ celebrity of the year at the British LGBT Awards.
The 26-year-old supermodel, who dates US actress Ashley Benson, will need to beat the former Sex And The City actress (above right), 52, who was nominated after running to be the New York governor.
Aside from the gay actresses, a batch of straight stars could also nab gongs when the event swings into London in May.
Singer Dua Lipa, 23, is also up for an award after blasting police in China who turfed fans out of her gig in Shanghai last year when they waved rainbow flags.
Call Me By Your Name actor Timothée Chalamet, 23, is among the other straight names up for honours along with Sherlock actor Benedict Cumberbatch, 42.
