David Walliams does a wrong-un in his Korea fancy dress

DAVID WALLIAMS sparked a racism row by dressing up as North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un.
The Britain’s Got Talent star wore the controversial fancy dress to Jonathan Ross’s star-studded Halloween party.
But outraged fans accused him of crossing the line after reportedly painting his face yellow and wearing prosthetics around his eyelids.

Striking a pose in a buttoned-up black suit and wig, 46-year-old Walliams whipped up an online storm when he posted a picture with the caption: ‘Happy Halloween from Kim Jong-un.’
One social media user blasted: ‘Brilliant, you went as racism,’ while another said ‘yellowface is racist and inappropriate in all instances’. Others even threatened to boycott his children’s novels, with one posting: ‘This is why I’m never buying any of his books. David Walliams was and still is a racist.’
The comic has form for appropriating other ethnicities in Come Fly With Me and Little Britain. Matt Lucas, 43, his co-star in the BBC shows, recently admitted he regretted playing characters of different races, calling it a lazy way ‘for white people to get a laugh’.
However, supporters of Walliams said people ‘should be more angry about the real Kim’. One added: ‘Heaven forbid we should take the p*** out of brutal dictators.’
