Duet with Adele isn’t brewing for Stormzy

STORMZY has ruled out one day collaborating with Adele — but don’t worry, it’s not because he’s become too big for his boots.
In an exclusive catch-up with Guilty Pleasures, the grime star told us: ‘The reason why I say no is because she doesn’t do features — [and] she needs to keep it like that.
‘I am rooting for her legacy to stay as phenomenal as possible,’ he added.
The rapper — real name Michael Omari — thinks Adele, 29, is swell.
‘She hasn’t got to worry about what her next album does,’ he continued. ‘All she has to do is go to the studio, lay down whatever pain or emotion or feeling she’s got and the rest will service itself.’
There is one ivory-tinkling music legend Stormzy would like to work with, though.
‘Stevie Wonder. That would be… ,’ he sighed.
The 24-year-old has enjoyed a hugely successful year, which saw his debut album Gang Signs & Prayer shoot straight to the top of the UK charts. He also won a hat-trick of Mobo awards, including best male, and earlier this month was named the BBC music artist of the year.
But don’t bother asking Stormzy if he’s scared the bubble will burst any time soon.
‘I’ve just got to worry about making music and staying at the top of my game… focusing on what my actual trade is, being a musician and delivering incredible art,’ Stormzy assures.
