Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny sport injuries at the Webbys

STARS of The X-Files Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny looked more like The Walking Dead at an awards ceremony.
Anderson, 48, hobbled in on crutches at the Webbys in New York on Monday while Duchovny, 56, arrived with his arm in a sling.
‘This is sad,’ he joked as he presented his co-star with the best actress honour for BBC2’s The Fall.

It was the second chance of the day for the pair to swap war stories as they had earlier promoted next year’s X-Files series at a Big Apple bash staged by US network Fox.
Anderson – who also limped along to the Bafta TV awards in London at the weekend – has explained that she fractured her foot ‘jumping into a swimming pool that was too shallow in Costa Rica’.
Duchovny’s malady remains a mystery. However, as his X-Files character Fox Mulder would say, the truth is out there…
