GoT’s Isaac faces Stark reality of how disabled actors are treated
GAME OF THRONES star Isaac Hempstead-Wright seems to be going through that teenage experimental fashion phase.
The 17-year-old raided the eccentric dressing-up box to model a sleeveless blue jumpsuit for GQ Style. But Isaac, who plays Bran Stark on the hit Sky Atlantic show, was more focused on speaking up for disabled actors.
‘I was ten [when I got the part], so the last thing I was thinking was, “What is it like?” said Isaac, whose character is unable to walk. ‘I just didn’t move my legs.
‘There’s so much under-representation of disabled actors in the media — I’m lucky to be able to get up at the end of a take.’
