Hurt by fake claims, Alexandra Burke insists: I’m Strictly being me!

STRICTLY frontrunner Alexandra Burke has hit back at people who have labelled her a ‘fake’.
The singer admits she is hurt by social media posts that allege her tears and excited squeals on the show are put on.
The former X Factor winner’s popularity plunged to a low point at the weekend, when she was put into a dance-off with comedian Susan Calman, 43, after the audience vote.
Alexandra and dance partner Gorka Márquez, 27, were saved by the judges. But the 29-year-old now hopes to convince fans she is ‘genuine’.
‘I sometimes read negative comments on social media about me being fake and it does upset me,’ she wrote in her Radio Times Strictly diary.
‘It’s such a shame that some people can’t see how hard I’m working, how nervous I am… but also how much I’m loving every minute of this experience. There’s nothing fake about that.’
