I’ve no doubt I was right to join The Voice says Rossdale

UNREPENTANT Gavin Rossdale has hit back at claims he sold out by agreeing to appear on The Voice UK.
The Bush frontman insists he has no regrets about signing on as a coach alongside will.i.am, Sir Tom Jones and Jennifer Hudson.
‘A girl in Australia tweeted me saying, “You f***ing sell-out!” but I was like, “Thanks for that, enjoy Canberra, laters”,’ Gavin recalled in an exclusive chat with Guilty Pleasures On TV. He feels his new gig helps him stand out from his peers. ‘Those positions, those seats, are coveted because it elevates you. It’s an absolute pleasure to go to work.’
Preparing for tomorrow’s final round of blind auditions, the 51-year-old British rocker admitted he had been scared he wouldn’t be popular on the singing contest. ‘The biggest fear I had was no one wanting to be on my team. What if everyone goes, “F*** that guy?”’ Rossdale explains. ‘But it’s perfectly legitimate because I’m the one who has been in the band, who has been bashed around and struggled.’
At least the father-of-four — who was divorced by No Doubt singer Gwen Stefani, 47, last year — can count on the support of his ‘Bush army’ when he’s on stage with the band. ‘There is one girl called Daniella who always passes out during the show,’ he said. ‘She’s standing there, and suddenly she just drops. I have to continue the song while she is being lifted by burly security. Now she has constant side-of-the-stage access because I can’t take it, “You keep f***ing up my show!” She’s since started coming with her boyfriend, who is there to catch her.’
The Voice UK continues tomorrow at 8pm on ITV.
