Jennifer Lawrence’s ‘incredibly rude’ rebuff to fans

IF YOU happen to bump into Jennifer Lawrence and she’s ‘incredibly rude’ to you, don’t take it personally — it’s all part of a deliberate strategy, apparently.
Life is tough when you’re one of the Hollywood’s most recognisable public figures, so the A-lister likes to channel her take-no-prisoners Hunger Games character Katniss Everdeen — by pretending to be, in her own words, ‘a huge a**hole’.
Speaking to comedian Adam Sandler for US magazine Variety, the 27-year-old explained that she’s developed the tactic as a defence mechanism.
‘I just generally, once I enter a public place, I become incredibly rude. I turn into a huge a**hole,’ she admitted.
‘That’s kind of like my only way of defending myself, just being an a**hole.’

And don’t even think about asking Jen for a selfie because her standard response is a blunt: ‘No!’
You might think she’d be more amenable over a meal, but catch her in a restaurant and she’ll simply wag her finger at you if you dare to approach.
Can’t blame her really — who wants a picture taken when they’re chowing down on lunch?
Occasionaly, Jen admits, she isn’t quite so harsh, with some fans getting the brush-off with a simple: ‘It’s my day off.’
But Sandler said his approach to fans was somewhat more friendly.
‘I sit them down, I feed them, I let them hang out with my kids,’ he joked.
