Katy Perry’s £3.7m win leaves convent rival nun too pleased

POP star Katy Perry has won £3.7million in damages after suing a property developer for deliberately thwarting her bid to buy a convent.
The singer, 33, had offered £10.7million to buy the hilltop home in Los Angeles.
But two nuns who lived there objected, and instead sold it to restaurateur Dana Hollister.
Last month, LA’s supreme court ruled Hollister had intentionally interfered with Perry’s planned purchase of the eight-acre site. It also ruled the nuns had no right to sell the home and yesterday awarded the Archdiocese of LA £7.4million in damages.
After the case, Perry’s lawyer said: ‘We’re very pleased.’
