Kylie: I was a bit broken

KYLIE Minogue has admitted she felt ‘a bit broken’ while working on her new album after her split from fiancé Joshua Sasse last year — but insists it is a ‘no blame’ record.
The Can’t Get You Out Of My Head singer started working on Golden around the same time she called off her engagement to the Brit actor in February 2017.
But she assured Attitude magazine: ‘I’m not writing from a place of heartbreak,’ before clarifying: ‘I was a bit broken. I wasn’t feeling very strong at a certain point, and we’ve all been there, we know what that’s like.
‘But I tend to bounce back pretty quickly, I’m pragmatic about stuff.’
Kylie was also at pains to point out the album is no revenge record — à la Taylor Swift.
‘I hope you can feel on the album there’s no blame, I’m not hanging on to anything,’ she said.
The Spinning Around singer — who turns 50 in May — added that the album was a chance to take stock — or, as she put it, take a look ‘rationally, with heart, with humour, to where I’m at’.
