Liz Hurley awarded thousands for Mirror phone hacking

ELIZABETH HURLEY has become the latest celebrity to be awarded thousands of pounds in damages at the High Court after having her phone hacked.
Her solicitor Anjlee Saigol said the actress and model, 51, was ‘hounded’ by Mirror Group Newspapers while she was pregnant with son Damian.

It treated her paternity battle with Steve Bing, who initially denied being the father, as ‘a drama to be enjoyed and consumed’ between 2001 and 2002. In December 2001, the Daily Mirror — then edited by Piers Morgan — published the US businessman’s phone number, urging readers to call him. It apologised the following year.
Richard Munden, for MGN Ltd, said it ‘acknowledges this behaviour was morally wrong’.
Actress Sadie Frost was awarded a then record £260,250 settlement in 2015.
