LouisTomlinson speaks frankly about romance, loss and fatherhood

LOUIS TOMLINSON admits he is a ‘very lucky’ lad after winning back his girlfriend Eleanor Calder for a second time.
Drawing deep on a cigarette in Simon Cowell’s leather-padded office, the single dad explained to Guilty Pleasures that he is now open to having children with the model after admitting he felt lost without her.
‘I carry myself like a typical Yorkshireman, I wear my heart on my sleeve,’ said the former One Direction star, who details what went wrong on his new single Miss You, out today.
Confessing he took their romance in the wrong direction towards the end of the boy band’s reign, Louis, 25, explained: ‘I don’t like to gloss it up, no bulls***.
‘[On] Miss You I am talking about the times — especially the last year of the band — I was going out all the time.
‘Some nights were great and amazing and some nights you were sat at the end thinking, “Maybe I really miss you and maybe I took a wrong turn”.’ During their break-up, Louis fathered Freddie Reign with US stylist Briana Jungwirth, but knew Eleanor, also 25, was the one for him.
‘It’s amazing,’ he said of their second attempt. ‘Each relationship is different, but I am very, very lucky and very happy.’ Being an adult helps this time around, Louis added, saying of his searingly honest track: ‘I think, as an artist, it is important not to just talk about the amazing times.
‘There are some times that are difficult. That crosses into the real world and affects relationships. I was quite young to take on the burden of such a real relationship.
‘Again, just digesting all these things as I am growing up a little bit more, I understand it — at least I hope.’
As for starting a new family with Eleanor, he said: ‘Definitely [more kids] at some point. It’s one step at a time. That’s probably what I get most excited about, doing all the family stuff and dad stuff.’
