Martine is back — and so is Hugh, actually

MARTIN MCCUTCHEON has revealed that both she and Hugh Grant will be a part of the Love Actually sequel being filmed for Comic Relief.
Fans of the Richard Curtis film will recall that her character ended up on the brink of a relationship with Prime Minister Hugh at the end of the first film, but Martine wasn’t giving anything away about whether their relationship has gone the distance.
Speaking on Loose Women today, she said: ‘I’m hoping me and Hugh are still together because we’re filming together.
‘I haven’t been sent a script, I’ve just been in wardrobe.’
But Martine was happy to speculate about a happily ever after, saying: ‘I really hope they’ve had a couple of kids and he’s still doing his silly dancing, and for him still to be in Downing Street.’
Martine also revealed that she and Hugh have been in contact ever since the 2003 film, despite being from ‘such different backgrounds’.
‘We have this banter,’ she said. ‘He has a go at me, I have a go at him.
‘He’s lovely, we still DM and text, but I’m so excited to work with him again.’
