Mel B claims she was drugged for most of her marriage

MEL B says she was drugged by estranged hubby Stephen Belafonte throughout their marriage as videos of a sexual nature involving the former Spice Girl are set to be played in court.
The America’s Got Talent judge (pictured) has already accused former partner Belafonte of domestic violence as the pair undergo an acrimonious split in Los Angeles.
Now one of Belafonte’s lawyers, Philip Cohen, has revealed that Mel B alleges she was drugged throughout ‘much to most’ of their relationship.
He said: ‘Miss Brown now takes the position she was drugged by Mr Belafonte throughout the course of the marriage.’
The revelations come as 20 sex tapes are due to be shown in court as part of the former couple’s divorce trial.
The videos are alleged to show Mel B snorting cocaine and engaging in ‘sexual activity’, but the former Spice Girl’s legal representatives claim some of the sex acts shown are ‘non-consensual’ as she says she was drugged throughout their 10-year-marriage.
Mr Cohen insists ‘all the videos’ included in evidence were consensual.
But the singer’s lawyer, Susan Wiesner, claims Belafonte has an ‘entire library’ of videos — 56 in total — that he is refusing to submit.
‘We have asked them [Belafonte and his lawyers] for his entire library but they have objected to that, which is troubling,’ she said.
Belafonte has previously alleged that the ‘major issue’ in their marriage was that Mel B suffered from cocaine and alcohol addiction.
His lawyers have also dismissed her domestic abuse claims as ‘nothing more than a smear campaign’.
The couple filed for divorce on March 20 and the trial is set to begin on November 6.
