Nighy way! Bill hated acting

LOVE ACTUALLY star Bill Nighy has revealed he considered quitting acting for years because he ‘hated’ it.
The actor, 68, admitted he thought about giving up his career on a ‘weekly basis’ but stuck with it because he ‘flunked school’ and did not know what else to do.
‘I was so unhappy. I just hated it,’ he told this week’s Radio Times. ‘It’s not unpleasant all the time. You work with great people and I am proud of some things I’ve done but the actual process is never satisfactory.’
And the Bafta and Golden Globe winner avoids watching himself on TV. ‘I tried that when I was young and it was bloody awful,’ he said.
‘I was third bank robber in (police drama) Softly, Softly in 1976. I was staying in digs with people. They were in the front room, and I came on TV. I walked out, it was so terrible.’
