Novak Djokovic tells wife he loves her as chef’s snaps stir pot

NOVAK DJOKOVIC has served up a gushing third wedding anniversary tribute to heavily pregnant wife Jelena, amid rumours of marital strife.
The ex-world No.1 issued the message hours after photos surfaced of him being cuddled by Lauren Von Pool — chef to fellow tennis star Venus Williams.
He posted a picture on Instagram of himself and Jelena in their dressing gowns, writing: ‘Happy anniversary my soulmate! I am so grateful to have you in my life and the love that you share with me reminds me of what should be nurtured and fought for in life.

‘Thank you for being dedicated and loving mother, big support and backbone to all of us close to you. Love you with all my heart and soul.’
Jelena is expecting the couple’s second child next month and Djokovic, 30 — who plays his fourth round Wimbledon match today — has never spoken directly of any problems. But the photos of him with Von Pool added to speculation that began when the triple Wimbledon champion blamed ‘private issues’ for a run of poor form.
The American chef has denied any romance after images from the last few years that she posted online were seized on by news websites.

Jelena, 31, first met Djokovic in high school and frequently shares loved-up snaps of them. But she was often absent from Wimbledon last year before the early exit that began her husband’s spell in the doldrums.
Pundit John McEnroe shocked viewers by telling BBC viewers at the start of this year’s tournament: ‘The person that comes to mind immediately with Novak is golfer Tiger Woods.
‘He had the issues with his wife, he seemed to go completely off the rails and has never been even close to the same player.’
