One movie role was a real cliffhanger for Juno Temple…

BRITISH starlet Juno Temple felt her career had really hit a rocky patch when she was asked to jump off a cliff.
She exclusively told Guilty Pleasures about the scary stunt, which took place while filming the 2013 thriller Magic Magic in Chile.
‘I had to, in the middle of the night, leap off a cliff into a lake wearing a raincoat, sweatpants and a woolly jumper with a taxidermy parrot in my pocket!’ recalled Juno, 28.
‘The first take I ran to the edge — “I’m sorry, we have to reset”. It was pretty f***ing high. I had to leap out far enough to miss these rocks… it was nerve-racking.’ Rising through the Hollywood ranks in Atonement, The Dark Knight Rises and Maleficent, she says a highlight has been forming a close friendship with Kate Winslet, 42, after they starred in Woody Allen’s 2017 film Wonder Wheel.
‘She’s become this mentor to me and took me under her wing on a job I was incredibly nervous about,’ she added. ‘They always say be careful meeting your heroes, but she blew my mind.’ Juno, who won Bafta’s EE Rising Star award in 2013, still feels nervous — and superstitious — when auditioning for roles.
‘After an audition, I have to make it to a stop line before a certain car does,’ she laughed. ‘If I don’t make it, I won’t get the part!’
She is also backing the Time’s Up movement against sexual harassment. Although Juno has never been hassled herself, she added: ‘I’ve had friends tell me about it and it’s time to speak out.’
