Sir Patrick Stewart: I thought I’d hit the final frontier on Star Trek

SIR PATRICK STEWART says he is ‘excited’ to be coming back to Star Trek as captain Jean-Luc Picard.
The British actor, 78, confirmed he was set to ‘explore new dimensions’ in the upcoming series from CBS All Access.
Sir Patrick played Picard on TV and in films from 1987 to 2002, and said on Twitter that he had thought his final appearance, in the movie Star Trek: Nemesis, was his last. He told his 3.13million followers: ‘It is, therefore, an unexpected but delightful surprise to find myself excited and invigorated to be returning to Jean-Luc Picard and to explore new dimensions within him.
‘Seeking out new life for him, when I thought that life was over.’
