Poldark covered up? Fans will blow top… but TV hunk hints strip skip won’t last till bedtime

POLDARK star Aidan Turner has dealt fans a devastating blow — by revealing he keeps his clothes on in the new series.
The TV hunk will not repeat his pec-tacular performance after previously appearing topless while scything and mining.
‘I think the clothes stay on this year,’ Turner told a very disappointed Guilty Pleasures at an exclusive preview screening of season three. But the Irish actor did offer a shred of hope. ‘Maybe there is some topless sleeping, I can’t remember. The clothes come on and off so easily these days,’ he laughed.
Back as Captain Ross Poldark, Turner also insisted he never receives naughty gifts from diehard devotees.
‘I don’t get rude or sexy things, just a lot of sweets and chocolates,’ the star, 33, said, then quipped: ‘But maybe it’s vetted.’ The hit period drama returns to BBC1 next month and will avoid a new ratings battle with rival Victoria which came out on top last year. The ITV drama is back for a second run this autumn.
Eleanor Tomlinson, 25, who is Ross’s wife Demelza, played down the clash. ‘We don’t need to compare ourselves to other period shows,’ she said. ‘People have a love of the characters. That is why they come back to Poldark.’
Meanwhile, Jack Farthing, 31, back as meanie George Warleggan, is relieved his battles with Ross are more psychological than physical these days. ‘My experience of filming fights is they feel like they’re not good,’ he said. ‘Then you lose and it’s worse,’ teased Turner.
