Ready, Jedi, go! Star Wars premiere goes down a storm

THE FORCE was very strong indeed at the Star Wars: The Last Jedi premiere — and the reviews are out of this world, too.
No expense had been spared as the cast and celebrity guests were transported to a galaxy far, far away at the lavish launch in Los Angeles.

Fan favourites Mark Hamill, Daisy Ridley, and John Boyega were joined at the Shrine Auditorium by stormtroopers, droids, assault vehicles and laser-spitting transporters.
The latest film in the franchise, directed by Rian Johnson, has already picked up a Yoda praise from the critics.

Hollywood Reporter’s Ryan Parker gushed: ‘It’s AMAZING. Just amazing. Have a lot to process, but WOW.’
Others tweeted that Episode VIII was ‘hands down the best Star Wars movie’ and promised we’d be ‘talking about this one for a long, long time’.

Also in attendance were Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o, 34, who voices the computer-generated Maz Kanata, and Game Of Thrones actress Gwendoline Christie, 39, back on board as baddie Captain Phasma.
The UK premiere takes place tomorrow at London’s Royal Albert Hall and is released on Friday.
