Richard in therapy after doctors saved his Bacon…

RICHARD BACON is in therapy to cope with the ‘psychological scars’ of a mystery infection that almost left him knocking on Heaven’s door.
The ex-Blue Peter star said it was the ‘most shocking moment of his life’ when doctors at University Hospital Lewisham, south London, told him he was being put into an induced coma to save his life.
The broadcaster, 42, told BBC Radio Five Live: ‘I thought when he said they were going to put me under for a week to ten days they would be doing it three hours later.
‘I said, “Have I got time to make some calls?” He (the doctor) said, “It’s so bad we need to do it in the next 20 minutes.”
‘I’ve now started therapy. I can’t eat properly… I don’t sleep. The infection is completely gone and it’s over, but it’s dealing with the psychological scars.’
