Sam Smith reveals name of first new track in two years

HE’S been coy about his new material, but Sam Smith has finally revealed the name of his keenly awaited new single is Too Good At Goodbyes.
A series of cryptic announcements on social media last week teased fans about what may be ahead, but in a post this morning the Stay With Me singer confirmed the title of the track alongside a picture of him holding the record sleeve.
On Friday he posted a photo of a banner advert with his face and the date September 8 on it to his more than 7million Instagram followers.
Alongside the picture, which was shot in the capital’s Shoreditch district, he wrote: ‘Morning London x’.
This was followed up with posts of announcements in Los Angeles and New York over the weekend.
The 25-year-old singer’s debut album In The Lonely Hour was released in 2014 and spent eight weeks at number one.
He reassured his fans that his first new music in two years was imminent with an emotional post last Thursday, writing on Instagram that ‘the wait is nearly over’.
He started his message by thanking his fans, adding: ‘Thank you for being so patient and for letting me have the past year to really escape into my mind and write music so freely. I feel so rejuvenated and have so many stories I can’t wait to tell you.’
