Sandé: I dream of starting a fam-Emeli

EMELI SANDÉ is still hoping for her happily-ever-after — telling Guilty Pleasures she is looking forward to starting a family.
The Scot — who bagged the Brit award for best British female solo artist — went through a shock divorce in 2013, but is optimistic for the future.
‘I’d like to have children — with the right person,’ the Breathing Underwater singer shared in an exclusive chat before hitting the stage at London’s O2 Arena.
Emeli also said her parents have never pressured her for grandchildren — not even when she was married to childhood sweetheart Adam Gouraguine. And she thinks her younger sister Lucy will start a family before she does. ‘My mum and dad never put pressure on, they’re very chilled, but I think they would like grandchildren,’ said Emeli, who dedicated her Brit to Lucy last night.
‘I feel like my sister might start a family before me. She is younger than me, but she’s a lot more mature.’ The singer — whose marriage lasted just one year — is slowly getting back into dating, but you won’t find her on Tinder. ‘Usually I meet people through music or stuff like that,’ she said. ‘But I’m a bit shy, so we’ll see what happens. I’m definitely getting back out there. Let’s put it that way.’
And how does Emeli feel about turning 30 next month?
‘It sounds a bit weird, but I’ve always looked forward to being 30. That is your stable age and you’ve worked out a lot and hopefully you’re on your right career path,’ she added. ‘I feel good now. I feel really like I know myself.’
