Sharon Osbourne on facelifts and X Factor ratings

SHARON OSBOURNE believes X Factor still has a fighting cha-cha-chance of beating Strictly in the ratings battle.
The Beeb favourite has wiped the (dance) floor with ITV’s talent show in recent years — but Shazza remains defiant.
‘I want to do my best, and you don’t want to be on a show that’s failing,’ she exclusively told GP. ‘That means ratings. Nobody takes a job and goes, “I don’t care if it’s the least-watched show in England!”’
The mum-of-three — who will be mentoring the girls this year — also hit back at suggestions that X Factor hasn’t produced a chart-conquering star since 2012 champ James Arthur.
‘If you say that James was the last star, he’s just broken America this year,’ countered Sharon. ‘The show’s track record is great, you can’t deny that. True stars are just very hard to find.’
■ MRS O hasn’t scheduled any nip’n’tucks ahead of her small-screen return. ‘I’m still on my third facelift,’ she cackled. ‘I haven’t gone on to my fourth yet!’ Viewers can expect more memory lapses too, after Sharon forgot her acts’ names last year. ‘For f***’s sake, I can’t remember anyone’s name!’ she said. ‘I’ve worked with the same women on [US show] The Talk for eight years and still don’t know their surnames.’
