Tearful Selena Gomez talks rekindling her relationship with Justin Bieber

FRESH from bagging Billboard Magazine’s woman of the year award last night, Selena Gomez has opened up about her relationship with two key men in her life.
Speaking about her former beau Justin Bieber — with whom she’s been spotted quite a bit lately, following her split from The Weeknd — the Wolves singer talked about how much she still ‘cares’ for her ex.

‘I’m 25. I’m not 18, or 19, or 20. I cherish people who have really impacted my life,’ she said.
‘So maybe before, it could have been forcing something that wasn’t right. But that doesn’t mean caring for someone ever goes away,’ she said.
Moving on to her more recent ex — Canadian rapper The Weeknd, whom she dated for 10 months — she said they are now ‘best friends’.

‘Something that I’m really proud of is that there’s such a true friendship [between us],’ she said.
‘I truly have never experienced anything like that in my life. We ended it as best friends, and it was genuinely about encouraging and caring… and that was pretty remarkable for me.’
During last night’s award ceremony, Selena teared up as she gave emotional thanks to the best friend who recently gave her a kidney in a life-saving operation.
Bringing Francia Raisa up on stage with her, Selena said: ‘To be honest, I think Francia should be getting this award because she saved my life.’
The singer-turned-actress also addressed the controversy of working with film director Woody Allen in light of his comments about feeling ‘sad’ for disgraced movie mogul Harvey Weinstein.
Selena revealed she auditioned five times for the part and said the allegations emerged during filming.
On Allen’s own past she said: ‘To be honest, I’m not sure how to answer… not because I’m trying to back away from it.
‘They [the Weinstein allegations] popped up in the midst of it, and that’s something, yes, I had to face and discuss.
‘I stepped back and thought, “Wow, the universe works in interesting ways.”‘
