The only way is T-Rex! I’m a Towie fan, admits Chris Pratt

THE stars of Towie may dream of working in Tinseltown… but Hollywood hunk Chris Pratt seems to feel the same way about their show.
He described the antics on The Only Way Is Essex as his ‘guilty pleasure’ — so much so that he and his missus, Anna Faris, refuse to board a flight unless they are loaded up with their reality TV fix.
Explaining his unlikely obsession, the 38-year-old Jurassic World star told Guilty Pleasures: ‘We really do love the show. It’s not like we saw a couple of episodes while we were in the UK — it’s genuinely a show we never miss.
‘Before we get on a flight it’s like, “Right — have we got the passports, have we got our son, have we got the latest episodes of Towie downloaded on the iPad?”’
He said he and Scary Movie star Anna, 40, are infatuated with the Towie crowd’s estuary accents and their cries of ‘Shut up!’ He added: ‘I’m not even sure why it’s our guilty pleasure. It’s a bit more real than the US reality shows, and we love the accent.’
Pratt’s confession should thrill the likes of original Towie cast member Mark Wright, 30, who is heading off to Hollywood in his new gig as a TV showbiz reporter.
Guardians Of The Galaxy star Chris also revealed that the new Spider-Man, 21-year-old Tom Holland, has big dreams of his own.
The pair worked together on next year’s Avengers: Infinity War, and Pratt said: ‘It’s been great to work on Avengers Infinity with him — he told me on set about his ten-year plan to win an Oscar, and for me he is more than capable of that.’
