‘Very worrying’ tests put Robbie Williams in intensive care

ROBBIE WILLIAMS sparked concern among fans yesterday when he revealed he has been in intensive care following ‘very worrying’ medical tests.
The 43-year-old provided an update on his health in a video posted on Twitter, which comes after he pulled out of two Russian shows last month.
In the video, recorded in Los Angeles, Williams said: ‘I’ve been recovering from an illness now for the last five weeks. Unfortunately that illness kicked in just at the end of my tour, a tour which was going so well.
‘I was a soldier, and I needed to finish that tour, I needed to go to Moscow and St Petersburg. Then I got some test results, and they were very worrying, and I ended up in the intensive care unit.’
Explaining that axing the tour was a decision he didn’t take lightly, he added: ‘I haven’t pulled out of a tour for bad health since 1998, but I just can’t do it.
‘I got all of your good thoughts, prayers and well-wishes, and they all meant so much to me.’ It had previously been claimed that a slipped disc was the cause of the postponement of the tour.
The former Take That star, who has talked about his battle with drugs and booze in the past, as well as crippling stage fright, also revealed he has turned his life around.
He said: ‘Now I am vegan, I do Pilates every day, I do yoga every day, and I have a really big burger on a Sunday. I have a cheat meal.’
A spokesman for Williams did not return Metro’s emails seeking comment.
