Vic and Bob set to reach new heights

MUCH-LOVED comedians Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer are bringing back their iconic 1990s show — and they’re prepared to go to any lengths to do it.
The funnymen are set to ‘reimagine’ Vic Reeves Big Night Out in a one-off special on BBC — even if they have to ‘increase their respective heights’ to do so.
The revival is set to feature cameo appearances as well as new characters, songs, skits and even some stunts — all performed in front of a studio audience.
‘This is the show we wanted to perform back in the 1980s. Now the time is right,’ the pair said — before joking: ‘We will be increasing our respective heights in order to perform some of the more intricate and challenging moments.’
A BBC spokesperson said the show would take the comedy duo ‘back to their live stage show roots to mark three decades as the most pioneering, surreal and unique pairing in British comedy’.
He added that they would give ‘a modern spin on that rich tradition of English eccentricity that stretches back to the music hall, through Spike Milligan and the Pythons, in creating characters that delight or baffle, depending on who you are’.
