Viewers ‘fuming’ over The Apprentice draw

THE Apprentice viewers were left enraged — with some demanding their licence fee back — as the series ended with Lord Sugar hiring both finalists, in what many called ‘a cop out’.
For the first time in the history of the BBC show, the business tycoon struggled to decide between IT recruiter James White and confectionary guru Sarah Lynn — so he crowned them both.
Unimpressed viewers said they were angry that it had ended with a draw after they had invested so much time in watching the series.
‘WHAT THAT’S RIDICULOUS. What a waste of time!!!!!! Fuming,’ said one disgruntled viewer on Twitter.
Another tweeted: ‘IS THIS A JOKE?! Don’t call them finalists if you just give it to them both. Im actually livid I just wasted an hour of my life on that episode.’
Another snapped: ‘What a joke! Lord Sugar absolutely bottled it! The whole point of the show is there is one winner! How can they both win!! #furious #TheApprentice #whatajoke #ruined2017.’
Another annoyed fan called it ‘a waste of 10 weeks’, and one moaned: ‘What a cop out. It’s meant to be a contest, with a winner, nobody wants a flippin’ draw. Historic? Do us a favour.’
Some fans even demanded that their licence fee be returned.
‘Dear BBC please may I have my license fee back #TheApprentice,’ posted one.
Another tweeted: ‘ABSOLUTELY FUMIN’ @Lord-Sugar Gimmie the last 12 weeks and my licence fee back if you have that much money to spare.’
Winners James and Sarah were each awarded £250,000 by Lord Sugar when he couldn’t choose between them.
Bookmaker William Hill reassured people who had placed bets on either contestant winning that they would still be able to collect in full.
