Vikanda gives Lara a new Alicia life

HERE’S a first look at Alicia Vikander, all ready to kick some serious butt around East London as Lara Croft in a movie reboot of Tomb Raider.
The 28-year-old Swedish beauty slips into the role, first made famous in 2001 by Angelina Jolie.
The Oscar winner reinvents the character as a bike courier in East London struggling to pay the rent.
‘We see Lara on a dangerous journey that will push her to her limits in every sense and allow her to hone the skills she needs to ultimately become who she was meant to be,’ said director Roar Uthaug. ‘Alicia Vikander is brilliant. She brings great depth to a complex role.’
