Destiny 2 Beginner Guide – 8 Tips To Reach Endgame
Destiny 2 is the sequel to one of the most groundbreaking games of our decade. For those who have been wanting to play, you’ll be happy to know that the sequel has gone free to play; this has brought both old and new players alike together. One of the greatest things about the Destiny series are the amazing game mechanics that make it so fun play. Of course, sometimes you just want to complete the main campaign, and this guide will help you achieve that result.
1. Obtain All DLCs
Having access to all DLCs that Destiny 2 has to offer will allow the player to visit all available areas. Most of the DLCs are included in Destiny 2: New Light, which is the new free to play version. However, the Forsaken and Shadowkeep content are not included in this version.
Don’t forget to hop on and check out Destiny 2 Season of the Worthy, as this season is coming to an end in just a few weeks. Make sure to grab all the awesome loot and experience the events before it’s lost!
2. Choose the Titan Class
Both Hunter and Warlock classes are pretty awesome. Sometimes Titan gets thrown out because it hasn’t been as well designed as the other 2, according to Destiny fans, but Titan has a lot to offer. If you’ve never played Titan before, it can offer abilities that clear the area fast and help you crush campaign missions.
3. Learn Damage Types
Enemies can be more susceptible to certain damage types. It is important to have at least one weapon in your arsenal for each damage type, but it’s even more important to know what kinds are out there and what kind of enemy to use them against:
- Arc Damage for Blue Shields
- Void Damage for Purple Shields
- Kinetic Damage for No Shields
- Solar Damage for Orange Shields
4. Join Clans and Groups
You can join in-game groups called Clans that can aid you in battle. If you can’t find one yourself in-game, you can join groups outside of the game to make friends with other players. Some of the most popular ways are through Reddit forums and Discord channels. Best case scenario, you can find other cool players to experience the game with and have that extra help around when needed.
5. Improve Your Gear Regularly
Unfortunately, campaign missions are not enough to get your character the best gear. As you complete the missions, the enemies get tougher, so getting together the right items is crucial. You can do the following to loot better armor (as well as other awesome loot):
- Complete Public Events
- Complete Daily and Weekly Missions
- Boost Vanguard Reputation
- Finish Adventures
6. Public Events Are Crucial
Some players would rather just play solo campaign missions, but leveling up fast is easiest when regularly completing events. You can play these events with friends or strangers online helping out. And, as previously stated, you can also get better gear this way! Sometimes if other players like your playstyle, they’ll add you as a friend and you may have a Destiny partner!
7. Choose Appropriate Armor for Your Build
The cool thing about Destiny is that almost all of the armor looks awesome. Unfortunately, sometimes we’ll let that get the better of us and not choose what’s best for the chosen build.
If you have only just begun your Destiny 2 journey, then don’t worry about armor stats just yet. Improving your general power is the best thing to do in the beginning. As you level up, you’ll learn which stats will improve your character based on your build and play style. If your character dies often, choose a recovery build. If you want to use a tank, choose a Resilience build. If you want to move fast, then choose a Mobility build.
8. Choose a Destiny 2 Boost
If you need more direct help for your specific playstyle, you can always choose to order a Destiny 2 Boost package for different needs. Professionals can help you boost your leveling quickly, so if you’re having trouble or need to catch up to play with your friends, you have the option to ask for extra help.
