Ghost-Busted! Secret of Robbie Williams’ no-show

IF THERE’S something strange in your neighbourhood, who you gonna call? Not Robbie Williams, apparently.
Guilty Pleasures has unearthed why he had to scrap his planned appearance as a guest judge on former Take That bandmate Gary Barlow’s singing contest Let It Shine.
The Robster blamed a mystery ‘ailment’ for not joining the panel during the BBC show’s finale last February — though he did manage to perform with the Take That boys.
It seems Robbie did himself damage while sliding down a pole dressed as a Ghostbuster. In an exclusive chat with GP, Paddy McGuinness told us his pal was injured while filming ITV’s The Keith And Paddy Picture Show, also starring Leigh Francis — aka Keith Lemon.
‘Robbie had to pull out of a show because he had a bad back,’ explained Paddy, 43. ‘That bad back was because we had him sliding down a pole.
‘He kept saying, “I’ve done my back in”, but I was like, “You’ll be all right”, and the next week he’s had to pull out of the BBC’s massive new entertainment show.’
See Robbie in this week’s episode of the movie-inspired sketch series, showing on Saturday at 9.20pm.
